America's First Helicopter, built in 1910 by Charles Wilson
and William Purvis. The machine is controlled by rudders,
levers and shifting weights. It has 4 canvas fans and is
driven by two - 7 horse power gasoline motors. The replica
is in The Pioneer Museum with many other antiques and
artifacts of Kansas history.
