THE MCPHERSON COUNTY COURT HOUSE
McPherson County's most distinctive landmark is its beauti-
ful stone Court House. Built in 1894 at a cost of $40,000.00 of
Strong City limestone, it stands a sentinel on the Kansas
prairie. Its faithful town clock and tower, rising 104 feet into
the sky, has tolled the hour for the county seat since 1908.
