The offices of the Board of Education of Leavenworth, Kansas occupy the home of the late Mr. Fred Harvey, founder of the famous restaurant chain. The house was built in 1875, purchased by Mr. Harvey in 1883 and was occupied by Members of the Harvey family until 1943. In 1949 it was transferred to the board of Education to be used as a school administration building. The house is located on Olive Street at 7th Street.
