Series DT-91315-B The home of General marina Guadalupe Vallejo is now a state historical monument. In 1835 the General founded the town of Sonoma, and on June 14, 1846, American settlers raised the Bear Flag in Sonoma Plaza proclaiming California a republic. Besides the original frame residence, there is a Swiss chalet which houses Vallejo relics, and surrounding gardens are filled with lovely flowers, magnolia, olive and citrus trees. |
