CASA GRANDE RUINS.
Casa Grande "The Great House" undoubtedly
are the oldest pre-historic ruins in the United
States, said to date back to about 800 A. D., and
Was once a dwelling of the Toltecs.
The ruins were originally five stories in
height and constructed of adobe and gravel con-
crete.
For the preservation of the ruins, 480 acres
nave been set aside as a National Monument by
the government.
