into granite preparatory to being taken out
to form relief for carving of actual likeness.
Drill shown in picture punctures a 24-inch
hole in two minutes. General Lee's figure is
now practically outlined with a parallel line of
these holes. Three years will be required to
complete Central Group, which will cover 1 12
acres of space. General Lee's figure will be
as tall as a modern 16-story office building.
