Series 4B-J422 Bancroft hash famous all over the world, originated in this hotel over sixty-five years ago and has been on the menu ever since. Here is the recipe: Corned beef and boiled potatoes, chopped when cold, and not chopped fine. Use one cup of corned beef, three cups of potatoes, one-fourth cup of butter and one half cup of milk. Stew in a saucepan over a slow fire and serve plain, or browned in a frying pan, omelet shape. |
