Additional Details:
Wallace Monument on the Abbey Cray. This noble Tower was erected to the honour of Sir William Wallace on the Abbey Cray, a wooded height two miles from Stirling. The Abbey Cray was the position occupied by Wallace and his army before the Battle of Stirling Bridge while the heights of Stirling were held by the English. The site of the battle was in the plain immediately in front.
