Wise County Court House. This building took
several years to build and was completed in
1895. The stone was precut and each piece
numbered and shipped from Burnet County.
The stones were raised by a windlass pulled
by donkeys walking in a circle drawing the "
rope tight. The building is constructed of the
same granite used in the Texas state capitol.
