Series 3404 The magnificent White Stone Temple of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry at Sixteenth and S. Sts., N. W., Washington, D. C., was built at a cost of $1,250,000.00 and is the most beautiful Masonic Temple in the world. The main floor contains thirty-three rooms, symbolic of the thirty-three states which compose the Southern jurisdiction of the rite. Administrative offices are on the second floor. The third floor is devoted to the Cathedral, seventy-five feet square, which, with its interior decorations, is one of the most beautiful chambers in the world. |
