TOLL BOOTHS AND ADMINISTRATION
The Toll Booths (sixteen of them) and Administration
Bldgs. of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge are
located on the East Bay Oakland Shore Approach pic-
tured here. Mile after mile of new arteries and East
Bay Shore Highways have been constructed to accom-
modate “on” and “off” traffic. Extending into the East
Bay a mile and a half this approach joins with the can-
tilever span which hooks up with Yerba Buena Island,
thence thru the largest double bore vehicular tunnel in
existence, emerging on the West Side tandem Spans of
this stupendous bridge (built at a cost of $77,000,000).
