The Ilinois State Capitol was bythe afor

wasn't until 1888 that the present Capital
was completed. The extreme length of tha
building from North to South is 379 Veet, and
from East to West 268 feet. The height from
the ground line to the top of the dome is 361
feet, and to the tip of the flagstaft 405 feet.
