Henry Ford built his first car at 58 Bagley Avenue Detroit, in 1896. With its 2-cylinder rear engine bicycle wheels, and belt transmission, it ran easily at 20 m.p.h. The success of this quadricycle prompted Henry Ford to continue experiments and ultimately to become an automobile manufacturer.
