Haunts Of The Big-Horn
Additional Details:
Haunts o the Big-Horn. High on the craigs of the Rockies, Selkirks and coast ranges of mountains, the big-horn makes his feeding grounds. Keen of sight, hearing and smell, and a marvel of surefootedness, the hunter must use all his craft and endurance to get him. The huge, curled horns of the old rams, which seem so out of proportion to the rest of the animal, account for the name "big-horn" by which they are commonly known. These wild sheep are excellent eating. |
