When in the course of a day's march, the Scouts encounter a stream too wide to attempt with safety and where no steppingstones are found, they are quick to bring into use the handy scout Pole. Here we see them vaulting over a stean, which is more certain than jumping and Quicker than taking off shoes and stockings for fording. |
