MIDNIGHT SUN AT CAPE NORTH, NORWAY
Cape North is the most northern point of Europe
and is a great vantage point for tourists from Ham-
merfest to see the Midnight Sun. From May 11th to
July 30th the wonderful phenomenon of an endless
day with a brilliant sun at midnight is visible and it is
an awe inspiring moment when the traveller stands
on the deck of the steamer at the stroke of 12, and
gazes northward upon the midnight sun. The voyage
from Hammerfest to Cape North occupies about eight
days for the round trip and is a most charming excur-
sion as the
