As a memorial to the late Thomas A. Edison,
a mile long bridge over the Caloosahatchee River
affords an entrance by motor highway to Fort
Myers. This bridge was dedicated by Mr. Edison
on his birthday in 1930. The bridge represents
an expenditure of $1,000,000.
