| Located across the South Canadian River, about 1/4 of a mile below its confluence with the Conchas in San Miguel County, it is easily reached from Las Vegas or Tucumcari, N. M. When completed the reservoir will have a storage capacity of 800,000 acre feet, and an area of about 25 square miles. The main dam, approximately 230 feet high and 1100 feet long with spillways and wing dams, will have an overall length of about 5 miles. |
