  The Strand theatre was my very first job. I was a porter for The Hustons that owned the theatre. I was 14 years old. The Strand I belive was opened in 1906 by Jack Hustons Father. I became the Mat. Projectionist for Jack when I was 16. The evening projectionist was Bob Hankins. Jack Huston the owner of the theatre was also the projectionist at the Paramount at the north end of the boardwalk.
