The Navajo Indian reservation is reached from
Gallup, Holbrook and Winslow. The Navajo has
been called the Bedouin of the Desert from the
fact that he never settles for any length of time
in any one village or pueblo, but wanders here
and there, abiding in temporary structures and
living the life of an itinerant, tending his flocks
of sheep, weaving blankets, or fashioning crude
yet beautiful ornaments from coin silver.
