Series 159726 NOBLEBORO CENTER, depicting First Baptist Church and Monument Incorporated in 1788, the town of Nobleboro was named for Lt. Col. Arthur Noble in whose memory the monument was erected. The First Baptist Church of Nobleboro was organized in 1793. Known for its lakes, dairy farms, and recreational woodlands, Nobleboro is one of coastal Maine's prettiest communities.
