CHUCALISSA
Prehistoric Indian Town
Memphis, Tenn.
The site has survived farming, erosion and
looting for almost three centuries. It has been
resurrected as a replica by professional and
amateur archaeologists. The site contains a re-
built village complete with thatched huts and
a great temple on its flat-topped mound.
Chucallissa's museum attracts much attention
of visitors. The site is managed by Memphis
State Univeristy.
