Bellevue, Nebraska's Old Court House was built
in 1856 as the Fontenelle Bank. A year later the
bank closed. The building then served as Sarpy
County's first Court House until the County Seat
was moved to Papillion. Bellevue then used the
building as its City Hall until a new one was built
in 1960.
This building will be restored and continuously
preserved by the Greater Nebraska
Foundation.
