INTERIOR OF “MORMON” TABERNACLE
The Tabernacle has a seating capacity of 8,000
people. It was built to accommodate
the great
gatherings of the “Mormon” people at their annual
and semi-annual conferences. The acoustic properties
are exceptionally fine, the ticking of an ordinary
clock being distinctly audible in all parts. One of
the unique features of the building is the great
organ. It has been rebuilt and enlarged by the
Austin Organ Co. of Hartford, Conn., and today
is conceded to be the peer of, if not superior to,
any pipe organ in existence. Regular services are
held on Sunday at 2 P. M. Visitors are always
welcome.
