With the statue of Albert Sidney Johnston
atop the tomb in which soldiers of the Army
of Tennessee are buried, including General
Beauregard. The beautiful tombs of Metairie
are famous, as is the site which was turned
from a race track into a cemetery for revenge
by a black-balled member of the old Metairie
Racing Club.
