THE CITY HALL is located in the center
of the historical Military Plaza Formerly,
"La Plaza De Armes And 70 $10,000
Dollars. The Governor's Palace was erected
on this Plaza in 1749, and the first Governor
to occupy it, Antonio Cordero, was tried for
treason, executed, and his head was placed
upon a pole where the City Hall now stands.
