Memorial Hall - Onondaga County War Memorial
Additional Details:
Through its doors, grateful Americans pass to pay homage to the dead--soldiers, sailors, marines, coast guardsmen, airmen, nurses, whose names are inscribed on bronze tablets in memory of their heroic and selfless sacrifice. The theme of the World War I mural symbolically depicts the victorious conclusion of the conflict in reference to the command voiced in the final lines of the poem, "In Flanders Fields." The mural is the work of G. Lee Trimm, distinguished Syracuse artist Dexter Press, Inc |
