Headquarters, laboratories, and manufacturing facilities of GTE Sylvania's
Western Division are located in Mountain View, Calif., in the heart of Santa
Clara Valley, 35 miles south of San Francisco. The Division provides elec-
tronic equipment and related services to government and industry. Its
facilities occupy 500,000 square feet on 61 acres of corporation-owned
land. Approximately 2,000 men and women, including more than 500
engineers and scientists, are employed by the Division
