American Museum of Natural History, lo-
cated at 77th Street and Central Park West,
was founded in 1869 as a museum and li-
brary of natural history. Among the exhibits
are numerous animal and bird groups, dino-
saur skeletons, Mexican and Peruvian mate-
rial, extensive collections of gems, jades,
ivories and amber. The right wing is the new
Roosevelt Memorial Hall.
