COURT FROM WESTMINSTER BRIDGE, LON-
DON. Scotland Yard is a short street in Lon-
don, near Trafalgar street. Here formerly were
the headquarters of the London police, now
removed to new Scotland Yards on the Thames
embankment. Westminster bridge crosses the
river at the north end of the House of Par-
liament. It has seven ellipitical arches of
wrought and cast iron.
