M. Bleriot made a name for himself and his monoplane on July 25th, 1909 by being the first man to fly from France to England. He completed a distance of 31 miles in 43 minutes, alighting safely near Dover Castle. The bleriot monoplane is one of the smallest in existence, it needs no shed to house it, and when the wings are folded it stands in the space of a medium size motor car. Total weight, 496 lbs.
