BL-12. Spillway Gates are the Safety Valves of the
Giant Fork Peck Dam, largest earth-filled dam on
earth. Here, the water not released through the di-
version tunnels, cut through a mountain at the dam
itself, is controlled to maintain the water level in
the reservoir and the water volume of the Missouri
