COURT HOUSE, LINCOLN, N. M.
The old Lincoln County Court House, re-
paired and restored to the original lines,
stands today as a State Monument in southern
3 New Mexico, but could the old adobe walls
ż talk they would tell the tales of the bloody
Lincoln County War and of the escape of New
Mexico's No. 1 bad-man, Billy the Kid, who
shot down two of his guards in the dash for
freedom. Carrizozo, New Mexico, is now the
seat of Lincoln County--but old Lincoln served
in that capacity in its heyday. The building
is now a museum,
