FISHERMEN'S MEMORIAL STATE PARK
Dept. of Natural Resources
Narragansett, Rhode Island
Situated on Point Judith Road, the park is
open from April to November, with trailer
and tent sites. Built to resemble a farm setting,
during World War II, the earth covered con-
crete structure seen at the far left, housed
a 16 inch "gun" capable of firing a shell many
miles out to sea. The round concrete structure
was used as a lookout tower.
