First temple built by the Latter Day Saints. The
only one completed during the lifetime of Joseph
Smith, Jr. first prophet of the Restoration move-
ment. Still in use for religious gatherings. Open
for public tour. Owned and maintained by the
Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints.
