OCEANSIDE, CALIFORNIA
Oceanside is located north of San Diego on Highway 101.
This is a residential town, beach resort and a trading area for
the inland farms. Nearby is found a Marine Base and training
grounds. Just north of the town is Mount Ecclesia, head-
quarters of the Rosicrucian Fellowship. This religious organiz-
ation originated by Max Heindel in 1911. Five miles north of
Oceanside is Mission San Luis Rey founded in 1789, completed
in 1802, designed to serve a tribe of the Shoshone later known
