NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC HEADQUARTERS, de-
signed by Edward Durell Stone, has been acclaimed
one of the most beautiful buildings in Washington,
D. C. At this fount of geographic knowledge, the
Society's magazine, maps, globes, and books are
prepared. Ten-story edifice also houses Explorers
Hall, the Society's museum of discovery.
