U.S.S. Nautiuls The First Atomic Submarine, Groton, Conn., is seen in this composite photograph of the actual model of the first nuclear powered submarine posed against the appropriate background of the Electric Boat Division, General Dynamics Corp., builders of the world's first such craft. The model was presented to then President Harry S. Truman on the occasion of the laying of the keel plate at Groton on June 14, 1952.
