PRECIOUS GOLD
What is more precious than the yellow gold
That we try so hard to find?
I often wonder if the richest gold
Is that which I left behind
We search for gold from pole to pole
And in every land on earth,
Never thinking that the most precious gold
Is beside a fire hearth
Just to have a home, and kiddies too,
And a wife with a heart so true,
To rest and comfort your weary soul
When your days work is thru.
