Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis., conducted by
the Jesuit fathers, and named for the great Jesuit mis-
siionary and explorer; chartered in 1864 and opened in
1881, has grown into one of the greatest of midwestern
educational institutions, with an enrollment of about
8,000. This picture shows some of the University campus
buildings which face W. Wisconsin Avenue. Left to
