The Corridor and Rotunda occupy the second floor, these corridors are the most spacious and artistically arranged in the whole country. They are graced by 24 columns of light gray marble, 25 feet high, weighing 25,000 pounds each. Two main stairways lead to the 3rd floor; these are broad, massive, and well proportioned, giving the corridor a very majestic appearance. The rotunda occupies the center of the 2nd floor.
