"Wheatland," the historic home of James
Buchanan, the fifteenth president of the United
States 1857-1861. The land upon which
Wheatland is situated may be traced back to
the early grants of William Penn. From its
veranda Mr. Buchanan conducted the first
"Front Porch" campaign in American Political
History.
