This little
town, as well as the moun-
tain that rises to a height of 9,000 feet behind it,
is named after the historic pioneer-scout, Bill
Williams.
Williams is the gateway to the Grand Canyon,
that greatest of all world wonders, and in the
little while at Williams before the train leaves
for the Canyon, one is enticed to walk briskly
up and down the long platform fronting the
hotel and station, so very invigorating is the
clean, clear mountain air.
