SANDIA is a small pueblo occupying a gentle
rise from the bottom lands on the west bank
of the Rio Grande. It may be easily seen as
the train approaches the small station of Al-
ameda, a short distance above Albuquerque.
It is also easily reached by stage from Albu-
querque. The population is about 160. The
church is comparatively modern.
