SNAVELY STUDENT CENTER is the hub of stu-
dent life at Birmingham-Southern College, Bir-
mingham, Alabama. Completed in 1962, it con-
tains a modern cafeteria, lounges, offices and a
ballroom. The building is named in honor of
Dr. Guy E. Snavely, chancellor of Birmingham-
Southern and president of the college, 1921-1938
and 1955-1957.
