VARNUM HOUSE
57 Peirce Street, East Greenwich, Rhode Island
Built in 1773, it was the home of Revolutionary
General James
James Mitchell Varnum, and was a
meeting place for Generals Washington, Sullivan,
and Lafayette. Owned and maintained by the
Varnum Continentals and Continental Ladies. A
completely furnished 18th century mansion, open
June thru Labor Day – Wednesdays and Sundays
1-4 PM.
