This opulent farm building and silo, built by Col.
Samuel Pomeroy Colt, was used to hold lavish
parties for friends and relatives such as his
daughter-in-law ETHEL BARRYMORE. Actor
“BUSTER” CRABBE also spent part of his child-
hood at COLT FARM as his father was a foreman
for Col. Colt. Colt State Park contains approxi-
mately 475 acres and features; picnic areas on the
bay, play fields, horse trails, bicycle path, boat
launching ramp, and fishing in Narragansett Bay.
