ERWIN HALL, Marietta College's oldest aca-
demic building, was completed in 1850. It is a
stately brick structure of Federal architecture
with a large clock tower rising above all other
buildings on campus. It was named in honor
of C. B. Erwin, an early benefactor of the
College, and contains classrooms and faculty
offices. The College carillon plays, from its
tower.
