This gate, now standing in Legare Street, is
a splendid and artistic criterion of the fron work
of the early 10th century. It once stood at the
entrance of the old guard house on the
the present Post Office, and because of the bledu-
tifully tapered blades at its waist on engla' MAR 12
is called the "Sword Gate."
