Bird's Eye View of Orofino

It is located on the Clearwater River and is one of the leading timber producing points of North Idaho. The huge Dworshak Dam is only a few miles away. Orofino area was traversed by Lewis and Clark in 1805 on their journey from Ford Creek to Canoe Camp. The world's largest steelhead hatchery is in operation at Ahsahka, 7 miles downstream.
